 The responsibilities of the DHS span over all aspects of securing  the homeland while supporting and coordinating with stakeholders in the  local and state government as well as the private sector. Within such a  role,  the Department plays a lead role in all elements of risk  analysis. As such, mitigating threats to homeland security include  domestic and international terrorism, natural disasters and, most  recently, pandemics. Many feel risk analysis efforts are weighted  heavily toward terrorism. Do you feel, considering the current threat  landscape, this is an effective approach? Should the government allocate  more funds to address natural disasters and public health pandemics  instead?
