Effects of Stress of Cancer Development

Subscribe

Many studies support the notion that stress not only increases your susceptibility to illness, including cancer, but can also lead to increased metastatic spread of existing cancers.

This week, please do a little independent research on the effects of stress on both formation and spread of cancer, and choose one particular aspect of this relationship (e.g. is there a particular stress hormone that affects a certain cellular change? what is the cellular mechanism by which stress increases metastasis, etc.).

Please make sure to include your citations–you’ve been doing an awesome job of this so far!!
