Criminal Justice System
Victimologists explore how victims navigate through the various processes of the Criminal Justice System. An initial process of the system is victims’ interactions with law enforcement and how police respond to victims and complainants. According to the readings, after attempting to find justice, some victims believe they are working against the justice system rather than in conjunction with the system. Outline various criticisms of how the Criminal Justice System handles victims. Explain various breakdowns in the system between victims and law enforcement. Identify how the current economy has impacted these issues. Provide examples of possible solutions to correct for these breakdowns in the system. Posts should be at least 300 words. Respond to at least two of your classmates’ postings by Day 7.
